Sensei Jason Rock is a retired career active duty U.S. Army Special Operations Officer, with an extensive background in Psychological Warfare and Counter Terrorism, as well as being a former Military Law Enforcement and Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Warfare specialist. He is a recipient of the Legion of Merit, two Bronze Star Medals and the Combat Action Badge as a result of multiple Special Operations' combat tours of duty is support of our nation’s interests. Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) Rock has studied various martial art systems for over 24 years, including U.S. Military combatives, American Kenpo and close quarters combat (under Grand Master Mike Pick), Shintoyoshin-Kai combat jujitsu and Tai Chi Chuan (under O'Sensei Steven Roensch), and Mushin no Shin Aikijujutsu Do (under Shihan James Jones). Sensei Rock is the Director of Training and Chief Instructor for the Aikijujutsu, Self-Defense and Tai Chi Chuan practitioner programs at the Fishhawk Martial Arts Academy in Lithia, Florida. He is also the Aikijujutsu and Self-Defense Instructor at the Summerlin Military Academy located in Bartow, Florida. Furthermore, he is an internationally certified Tai-Chi Chuan instructor through American Budokai International and REIKI Master from the International School of Reiki. He has instructed close quarters combat and hand-to-hand defense to U.S. and Foreign Military units as well as Law Enforcement agencies around the world during his tenure in the Department of Defense. He has an extensive background in teaching youth athletics with over 14 years of coaching experience in the fields of competitive Football, Basketball and Baseball. LTC (R) Rock is the Military Liaison Officer (MLO) and a life time member of American Budokai International. Furthermore, he is a life time member of the esteemed American Budokai Society and Taoist Tai-Chi Society.
